Interns 2015

Intern Tutorial Program

At Monash Health, we value education and aim to provide the highest quality education sessions to all our staff and students. As practicing clinicians, we understand how critical ongoing professional development is, and we aim to deliver appropriately targeted programs for all staff, beginning at intern level.

Our intern program is delivered across all our metropolitan sites each term and is based on feedback from current and former interns as well as meeting the ACF guidelines for intern teaching. We source the best speakers available and aim to make it as interactive and clinically relevant as possible, using various IT platforms to encourage audience response and feedback to continue to improve and develop the program. We encourage case based discussions and all our speakers are experts in their field. This helps ensure a relevant and useful program which is well received by our interns.

The topics are aimed at improving patient safety and quality of care and providing support to our interns who are on the frontline of patient care. Staff wellbeing and safety in the workplace is another core value and we include sessions to address these highly relevant areas each term.
