The HMO2 year is split into three streams – Medical (BPT1), General & Surgical. Our HMO2 positions are matched through the PMCV computer match process. Applications must be made to both the PMCV and Monash Health.

General HMO2
Each year job lines are created for HMO’s to preference. You will be asked to submit preferences in October/November for the following clinical year commencing in February. You will be sent your finalised allocation in December, and your first term roster will be sent 2-4 weeks prior to the commencement of the clinical year.
You may also have the opportunity to preference some HMO3 rotations so please review this information on our website for further information.
Please Note: Apart from the Monash Health sites of Clayton, Dandenong, Casey, Kingston and Moorabbin, some of the above rotations may also be based at secondment sites (Wonthaggi and Mildura).
HMO2 and HMO3 General rotations are broken up into 3 sub-streams – General Practice, Medicine and Critical Care.

All HMO’s at Monash Health are entitled to x5 weeks AL per clinical year, and are required to participant in our relieving roster and night shifts/rotations.
