We are looking for positive, committed and inspiring HMO2’s to join our Monash Doctors team who are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and outstanding outcomes for our patients. We are committed to training the best quality Monash Doctors and providing the highest standard of education and support for our staff. We believe in continued professional and personal development so our HMOs are encouraged to participate in the wider hospital structure by involving themselves in Committees, undertaking research and mentoring and teaching students.
Our HMO2 positions are matched through the PMCV computer match process. Applications must be made to both the PMCV and Monash Health. HMO2 years are separated into 3 streams – Medical (BPT2), Surgical and General and allows you to experience a large range of rotations from beginning to end of life care. Its important you identify in your application your stream preferences, explaining your choices so we can better understand your desired career aspirations.

There are so many opportunities for our HMO3’s at Monash Health. You can continue down the Physicians pathway and apply for a BPT2 position (through the PMCV match), or for a Surgical or General stream HMO position. Those interested in Critical Care should note our highly successful (and highly competitive!) Critical Care HMO positions.
We have great opportunities for aspiring O&G trainees; apply for our unaccredited O&G HMO positions. We have every specialty at Monash Health so GP hopefuls can access Paediatrics, O&G and Diploma of Obstetrics (6 months rotations), critical care and everything else under the sun.
